Burger King Changes Animal Policy

These things really come in waves, don’t they?

Burger King announced that it will begin buy eggs and pork from suppliers who did not confine their animals in battery cages or sow stalls, and would favour slaughter facilities which used gas rather than electric shock to stun chickens prior to slaughter.

Now, while their goal (2% of chickens and 10% of pork being humanely raised/slaughtered) is a bit laughable, it’s a start.

I’ve always preferred Burger King food to McDonald’s (it tastes less greasy, the fries are better, and hey - mozza sticks!), so this is just another reason to chose them over Micky D’s.
